Afternoon all,
Like many on this forum I guess, I was informed by phone around 2 weeks ago following a routine blood test during my annual meds checkup. I'm right on the cusp of trouble with a reading of 47mmol/l. It wasn't until I had this news that I really delved into what I eat on a regular basis and was shocked to see just how much carbohydrate I was consuming. I always thought I was eating relatively healthily (wholewheat, wholemeal etc.), so I've just had a bit of a clearout and will be down to the food bank tomorrow with jars, tins and other non-perishables. I've downloaded the excellent free recipe books and meal planners to give me a kick start to healthier eating, and will I'm sure also benefit greatly from the wealth of members knowledge on this forum.
Cheers everyone.
