Recently diagnosed, feeling alone, frustrated, confused and sad

The thing was I felt great, I had so much energy I was getting up at 4 am doing gardening, pulling weeds, washing the car, scrubbing walls so from 4am to 8 am I was burning energy then I was taking my granddaughter to daycare coming home hanging washing I was ALWAYS moving ... it did help our TV blew up and we have not replaced it

BUT I never felt like I 'earned' the weightloss, I was drinking like 4ltrs of water a day which did reduce my appetite I did take duramine (appetite suppressant) for a month which kick started things

I have to agree @Kiwi Erika.
Given a meter isnt common any more for type2s so I guess your type is in question.
Weight loss too is suspicious with such high levels of bg.
Have you received a definite diagnosis of you being a type2?

I am not sure if it is a country thing, everyone I know here in New Zealand type 1 and 2 all have meters, I went to a type 2 support group and everyone had one ....
It scares me they just 'think' it is type 2, I work much better with facts. I am so pleased you are bring this to my attention as I would not know to push for more info otherwise
