I have had type 2 for 6 yrs now and it is well under control. Metformin twice daily.For the last year I have had red and dry soles of my feet.
Been to see gp twice and they just say moisturize twice a day.I wondered if this was common or related to something else.It started when Iwas wrongly treated with anti biotic 7 times for what turned out to be an enlarged prostate. I ended up in A and E and had to have a catheter. Several infections later it was removed and I was treated with Tamsulosin.Nobody thinks it's related to my prostate. I just worry that the nerve endings which control the sweat glands have been damaged.
