Yes well done on those results. The votes are in, and have been counted, and the results are as follows:
HbA1c – 33 or 5.1% (I was 32 and 5.1% last time, so I’m taking that as stable.)
Lipids – Less encouraging, but as follows:
Total – 8.1
HDL – 2.0
LDL – 5.7
Triglycerides – 0.9
Total/HDL ratio 4.05
I am informed I need to make an appointment to see a Doctor. Round 3 of the cholesterol battle is about to begin.
Unless persuaded by empirical evidence, based on women, I will be staying statin-free.
Yes well done on those results.I would be taking the same stance as you as regards statins if they were my readings.
I take a low dose statin for vascular health and In april/14 I had 2.7 with bad/high TG...so it isn't a magic bullet for cholesterol
going by this guy and you should seek a second source..your TG and HDL are brilliant, your LDL are light and fluffy with few small dense [whether there are too many total is another story]
cholesterol
@AndBreathe those are excellent results. I am not sure if these would affect Bs but a friend of mine lowered her cholesterol by drinking those benecol yoghurt drinks.
