retinal eye screening

just had my retinal eye test, no blurring thankfully
 
That's good, did they not use eye drops?
 
Glad you attended and even happier that there is no deterioration.

I hate going but always force myself to. I have had an eye problem since I was a kid and spend many a day of my childhood in the local eye hospital having similar drops put in my eyes so the consultants could try and see what was wrong (they have never worked it out). When I was a child the pain of the drops and the subsequent photophobia seemed horrendous and at that age I couldn't understand why they were doing it. Now I know why it has to be done but I still hate the thought of it.
 
Same here Ruth, I attend the eye clinic every 9 months and still dread going, can only imagine it would be much worse for a child
 
Good luck for your results Ally. I never got any blurring either when I had mine done.
 
Go girl, yeah, due mine in a few weeks, happily up till now they have never found anything to upset the cart, but I know this time they will find I've the start of a cataract,der, optician told me when I went for my eye test in Feb, hey ho just another thing to learn to live with.

My ophthalmologist mentioned at the end of my last visit that I had the beginnings of one. I asked him how long before it needed seeing to. He gave a shrug and said maybe fifteen to twenty years, I wish he hadn't mentioned it!
 
Mine said that too, but forewarned is forearmed, and I would rather know what's doing than not. I am not too worried about having them its the getting rid of that I don't like the look (PUN) of
