Experiment today-
Rice crispies and whole milk
Pre 6.5
1 hour. 8.6
2 hours 6.6

I did enjoy them as a change. Is 8.6 too high a spike even though a short one?

I wouldn't be overly concerned, as you came down again rapidly, and it was around the 2mmol mark. I'd need to repeat the experiment before I had any confidence in the result.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I'd say that result is pretty good - a 0.1 increase after 2 hours.

The spike up to 8.6 is a bit high, but non-diabetics get short term spikes when they eat too (most people just don't realise because they don't test )

Personally, if I got a test result like that, I wouldn't eliminate the food but wouldn't have it every day either and would keep it as a "treat" food

I used to love RC's - I could eat a wheelbarrow load with 8 pints of cold milk and a bag of sugar right about now.

Nothing wrong with a day dream.

Have you tested them? You never know you may be able to eat them every now and again.
