Hi All:

I have started to get my BG under some sort of control, I am type 2 on Galvus. I take 50mg morning and night.

I started reducing carbs as suggested by the forum. It is working. I am now recording mid 5 to high 6 Sometimes I spike to 8 mainly due to diet, eating a lot of carbs.

I try to control these spikes by taking a small amount of Glipizde on the days where I thinks I am going to have a high BG readings.

I know I should control through diet but at present am not able to do this.

Is the regime I am using wright or wrong. I have not yet discussed with health provider.

Thanks

How did your doctor tell you to use the glipizide?
It's not a medication meant to be used on an 'as needed' base.

I can't help as I don't take glipizide but I suggest that you should talk to your doctor before changing the way that the doctor told you to use any medication.
