does anyone who runs take all their kit out with them?
I'm not sure what to do

Never have. I always worked to the assumption it would cause my bloods to drop so the first few times took my meter and dextrose and worked out what happens. Then based it on that.

Now I take the Libre with me in a zip pocket plus dextrosols and cash. That's good enough for a run.

I was thinking about the li really but wasn't sure how quickly it would update your reading.
I was curious to see what if anyone did, how they carried it all. I've got a half marathon in 3 weeks that I'll be making my own way too so may have to take it all. I think I could suffice without it during the run but I've had some bad hypos after I've finished...can't seem to get the hang of any of it atm

I just have my meter, glucose tablets and cash with me. I use a cycling jacket because there are three pockets at the back so provides easy access if ever need glucose tablets/meter.

I don't tend to take my meter, I take lucazade sport to sip if it's a long walk or run (they're rarely long!) I use a running belt with a drink holder. Also hypo treatment and cash

A jacket would be ideal but I can't run long distances whilst wearing one without nearly collapsing from being too hot

I'll have a look at running belts now

Thank you.

I take only dextrose tablets with me and only run in the morning where DP prevents me from going too low.

I've been running for a while now and regularly do half marathons...got one this weekend, in fact. I would never be able to go running without my meter and some sugar, I personally can easily mistake the feeling of being knackered from exercise with a hypo.

I use two different things to carry my stuff around with me. The first is a bumbag, not the height of fashion, but does the job. The second, which is use on longer runs and trail runs, is a Camelbak. These are water backpacks with pockets in.

I always take my BG meter and a load of dextrose. For the distance of a half marathon, I'd say it's a must to take these with you. For road running, I'll probably have 4 packs of dextrose for a half marathon, it it's a trail, I'll take more.

I don't take anything with me. I don't run far. 12km is my limit at the moment. I test my blood before I go out. If I am lower than 9.0 I will eat a snack or drink a small amout of lucozade.
I often wonder what happens to my body when I run. Sometimes (last night for instance) my bloods can be ridiculously high an hour after running... I keep thinking has my liver dropped its emergency payload to stop a hypo. But my bloods before and after the run would be in the realms of normality.
Can anyone explain this phenomon? I am bored of injecting loads of bolus after exerting a load of energy. Makes no sense.
