When I did my supermarket shopping yesterday I bought chipalata sausages, beef mince and some tiny cheesecakes. It was an hour before I got them home to the fridge, would that be too long out of the chiller? They were in an insulated bag in the boot of my car (no ice pack) and still cool when unpacked but obviously not as cold as when I packed them. With it being so very warm yesterday I keep wondering if it would be safe to use them. I have a bit of a phobia about stuff like this and in the past have even destroyed food because I'm terrified of being ill

I don't see why not as long as they weren't warm the mince and sausages should be fine and if worried about the cheesecakes I'll eat them for you so you won't have to worry,

Thanks, I give myself nightmares over things like this, I'm a born worrier

Well, you are still around, so I suspect that the food was ok. I'm notorious for ignoring things like use by dates I normally go by smell and look and I'm still around to tell the tale!
