help can anyone tell me what can i use for sandwiches instead of bread i always have them for lunch as im a bus driver and they are conveniant

Hi, yes sandwiches are convenient, you could always try and get hold of some low carb bread, or consider other options, like taking some things from home to work, pack up lunch, you could do a tub of salad and have it with a frittata, or salad or veg with some hummous, tinned fish you only need to unzip that, yoghurt, the possibilities are endless there and dont have you send your bg soaring.

All the best

I have had to get a lot more organised since I reduced my carbs. I just can't trot over to M&S and buy a sandwich

I have also discovered some low carb reasonably priced lunches at M&S. I have been having hummus (chickpeas don't make me spike) and vegetable dippers and a piece of their individually wrapped cheese. There are also leafy salads.

I have got a lot better at making lunch to take with me, so I'm in control of what I eat. This also saves a lot of money only to fritter it away on test strips

Hi, I can cope with a sandwich using weightwatchers brown danish at just under 8g carbs per slice, as long as the filling is very LC, cheese, tuna, salmon etc.
