Self Testing High Readings.. Good idea?

Hey there! Little bit advice needed..

Past few days I've been using my Meter which I was given due to having abnormal readings whilst having an episode of a Viral Infection.

Anyways, I've decided to keep an eye on my readings the past few days.. and I have been above 10.0mmol majority of the time! Even waking. I know Carbs cause the spike but even after Boiled Eggs on Cloud Bread I was still high..

I feel alright but know I need to be lower... I take Linagliptin 5mg daily, can't tolerate the MF even slow release :/

Any advice on how to lower this.. and what I should be doing as a type 2.

What should my readings be?

Thanks for any advice in general guys. Really appreciate it

Could you list your food for typical day? There are lots of hidden carbs in things.

It can take a while to get your bloods back to your normal, brewing, during and after any sort of infection or illness.

Are the test strips still in date?
