I have written elsewhere that I'd like to get my Bg down into the 4s more often. I seem to be set at 5.3.( for days it was the only reading I got) Yesterday, I walked a lot of miles and ate carefully. Ichecked Bg before I went to bed 4.4. Not a problem for the night, because my low dose Metformin, won't push me into a night hypo at that. anyway, I got up this morning and checked fasting Would you believe 5.3 AGAIN
I've walked a load more miles today and even had a sausage roll at lunchtime. TRULY, there was nothing more suitable available. I didn't eat all the pastry anyway. I've just checked now, several hours ;later 4.7. So there is some hope for tomorrow morning. I'm going to aqua aerobics at 8:00. So any surplus will get worked off.
I get so cold in the pool. I've just bought an "athletic" tee shirt( polyester and lycra, which I can wear over my swimsuit like a wetsuit. Maybe It will lmit how much sugar I burn, but I'll be a bit more comfortable.

Hi Hana,

I hae exactly the same issues. I think that getting your BG down is a little like losing weight. You have a day of diet and hard exercise and jump on the scales to find that you have actually gained half a pound, however if you check your weight week on week, then the overall trend is downwards. I have gone to bed with a BG of 4.4 to awake to a fasting 5.3. I suppose its liver dumping or the dawn effect which I dont pretend to understand. Our problem is that a weight loser does not need to weigh every day, whereas as BG managers we do.

All the best - Steve.

Hi Steve
I have the same trouble with weight. that's been stuck for about a year and I need to lose another 2 stone at least. I have left off weighing myself for a couple of weeks to see If that gets better. Still sticking to the low carbs. I'm not letting the BG go.
