Setting up the CodeFree meter

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to clear the memory of the meter and start the settings again Got the meter for my husband and tried to set it up as per iinstructions something I found that was not easy so I made a mistake when it got to the time and date settings I tried to go back to reset it but it will not let me. I tried leaving the battery out for a while but that did not clear it still got the same time and date that I put in wrong and I just get the icon in the window ready for testing and thats all. I tried the hold button down for 3 seconds to begin settings again but all I get is a screen with a lot of symbols and 888 which does not go away all the timer I hold down the button when I let go the meter turns off

Seems that somehow I have set an alarm on it to go off 2 hours after a meal now I can't change it.Surely there is some way of amending the settings if you have made a mistake or want to reset the meter for someone else to use
 
Contact manufacturer or where you bought meter from? I have one but haven't done settings.
 

Hi Annie, I've just had a play around with mine, switch it on (middle button) then when the test strip symbol is flashing press and hold the same button for 3 seconds. This puts you into the setup mode, to move to the next section press the middle button, to change the values in each section use the left/right arrows, to accept a change press the middle button.

Thank you for that tried it and think I have put the time and month correctly now and stopped the alarm
