I've used huel on and off and it seems to be very good if a little bland flavour wise. You can of course flavour it but be careful not to add more carbs with the flavouring.
This isn't a personal recommendation, but if you been looking at the Newcastle Diet, I think they used Optifast. If you're just looking at VLCD then lots of Mediterranean vegetables are just as good. Maybe a combination of the two?

Unfortunately I don't have carb grams but 250ml of skimmed milk is involved first.
So....
Not low carb (i.e less than 10g carb per 100g.
I've sampled one and it is very sweet as sugar is in them.
Dietician has asked me to cover with insulin. I've agreed as IBS tablets may be not needed which has sugar coating. So may equal itself out.
Low cal not low carb.
