If the pain is unbearable George then I suggest you ring your out of hours G.P. to get some advice or you could try NHS direct on 111

Hi george10
welcome to the forum
agree with catherine cherub
it is difficult to advise without a bit more information.

have you already had a neuropathy diagnosis ?
it could possibly be dupeytren's contracture.

Welcome. I have unbelievable pains in both hands and loss of feeling. Like the worst case of pins and needles you could imagine. I have just been diagnosed with nerve damage caused by chemotherapy, diabetes and now need a operation for carpal tunnel syndrome. I not saying your suffering the same but get along to the doctor or as @catherinecherub says phone 111

Hi George,

There are a huge number of different things that could be causing pain, from tendon or bone issues, to joint problems and diabetic complications.

I think you need to talk to an expert who can do a physical examination on you. Your doc is a good place to start.

Good luck, and please let us know how you get on?
