Just strange that it hasn’t before, or not to that extent at least.Mince[-d beef?]. Three pork chops. Eggs. Cheese. Protein. Lots of it.
If you’re very insulin resistant then it may cause a measurable glucose response the following day in some individuals. In others it may not.
Yes - that happens to me also - but not every time which is puzzling.Mince[-d beef?]. Three pork chops. Eggs. Cheese. Protein. Lots of it.

No, I didn’t but I had just washed my hands.Did you clean off your hands and test again? Sometimes you can get odd rogue results that come out of nowhere due to contamination of stuff on your finger.
Under the weather ?. Feel okay, touch of toothache but the dentist will sort that next week hopefully. No cough or cold. Same strip pot as before. Sleeping okay apart from extra loo trips as I seem to be full of water these days.@Patrick66 - My first thought, was the same as @bulkbiker . I'd also ask if you have changed to a new pot of strips? Some pots can read differently to others.
Are you under the weather at all? Did you sleep well?
There are so many things that can impact our bloods, but there's no big telltale item in your food diary to lead to a silly reading. A single blip won't materially impact your forthcoming A1c test.

But stress levels rising with Tuesday being so important. Probably not helping.
A tooth infection could very well bring up your levelss. What time of the day did you test? My levels had a tendency to rise from morning to noon till very recently. Probably dawn phenomenon. Don't worry. If you keep at it everything will be well again.touch of toothache but the dentist will sort that next week hopefully
Have to wait for a week.If I were to speculate, I'd maybe go for the toothache being the culprit - especially if the toothache is a throbing/pressure style pain.
If your usual running range has been up to 6.8, then your reading is just over 1 up.
I appreciate that's scant consolation when you have a big day on Tuesdays, but sometimes we just have to shrug and move on (grumbling under our breath!).
Just wait and see what your numbers are on Tuesday. How quickly do you usually get your test result? If they're being done at the hospital, is it usually same day?
I tested just after 8.00 this morning. Same sort of time I usually run a weekend morning test.A tooth infection could very well bring up your levelss. What time of the day did you test? If I remember correctly you'e struggling to get those numbers down because you have an op coming up, right? I cross my fingers for you.I tested just after 8.00 this morning. Same sort of time I usually run a weekend morning test.

Diabetic clinic is a week on Tuesday.
I get them back at the surgery. I have no online access to test results and they won’t give them to me if I go in or ring them. It’s very frustrating.Do you get your results at your Doc's surgery or at the hospital?
If my GP requests the bloods, irrespective of where the blood is drawn, the results are shown on my medical records as soon as they're back and have been seen by a Doc. At the hospital, I have to ring the Endo's PA about 48 hours after the test.
I had blood drawn on Wednesday last week (for my thyroid) and could see my results next morning, online. As I always have to have the blood drawn at 08:00, I sometimes have the results the same day.
The waiting is the worst bit!
Thank you. Hba1c, if it’s over three months, will be probably just as high. If it’s over a month then I’d stand a better chance and I’ve seen several threads indicating that it’s over a number of weeks, rather than months, and weighted to the last couple of weeks. If that was the case I might have a glimmer of hope.Sorry to read of your high fasting BG this morning.
Bear in mind that Hb1AC measures an average over about 3 months. One or two high reading should have little impact on your hb1ac.
My fingers are crossed for you on Tuesday.
Yes, I’m trying to get the numbers down so they will operate. If I remember correctly you'e struggling to get those numbers down because you have an op coming up, right? I cross my fingers for you.
