It's on a previous thread below. Just struggling on breakfast ideas. It's the one meal I'm stuck for ideasWell, forget cereals for a start. No way are they good for diabetics. Quite the reverse
What is your daily diet? What are your BG levels?
Is there any particular brand that's preferred or is it just lower the carbs the better?Sausages, eggs, bacon, mushrooms for zero carb items. Recently I've had a sort of mini salad with cucumber, tomato and walnuts to start my breakfast and it was quite nice if a little unusual.

I'm going to give chia seeds a try. I've no idea what they taste like but they're supposed to be magicAnyone recommend products they've used to combat high BG and weight loss other than the well known obvious items?
Things like Cereals, Side dishes, Snacking Items would be good!

I can vouch for the jam - mine's from the KetoDiet Cookbook by Martina Slajerova - it perks up Greek yoghurt beautifully and also can give you a 'cream tea': a third of a Lidl protein roll (I use the bottom bit) lightly toasted and topped with chia jam and clotted (or whipped double, but it really has to be clotted) cream. Makes a nice pud after a light first course.I use them a lot. I make a sort of jam with frozen berries in the microwave with a big spoonful of seeds. Delicious with Greek yoghurt.
Also put them in flax seed crackers for extra crunch.
You can also make a sort of pudding with them, which I used to eat a lot in the summer.
They bulk things up and you can put them in soups etc.
There are lots of recipes out there but I think they have a sort of marmite factor. I love them!

My morning "cereal" can be eaten cold or hot - coconut flour, flax seed meal, chia seeds, protein powder, walnuts, almonds (flour & some pieces), a few berries, stevia & cinammon - recently started adding ginger, cumin & coriander. I add unsweeetened soy milk. Maybe you will get some ideas from this and as other post(s) have pointed out - it's a meal and can include any foods.Anyone recommend products they've used to combat high BG and weight loss other than the well known obvious items?

Chia seeds do not have a strong flavor - imho. They do absorb moisture. In baking they retain crunch. Cold cereal-depends on how long it sits. Hot cereal-will soften. Yogurt-let sit overnight and soften will be slightly crunchy if eaten immediately. They have a good high fiber, low carb, good fat & protein nutrition profile.I'm going to give chia seeds a try.
