Good morning everyone, hope you are all well ☺
Can I just ask, are brief spikes normal and ok? I know everyone is different, but in general my fasting bloods and between meals are all low in the 4s and 5s. But no matter what I eat, my post meal readings are always doubled more or less. For example, pre breakfast I was 4.2, then 2 hours post was up to 8.4 pre evening meal I was 4.9 then 2 hours post was 7.8. I know these are not really high, but it's the fluctuations and the amount my bloods have risen. Is this normal or should they not be rising that much? Do you think possibly re evaluating my diet would help? I do try to low carb, but find it really difficult. Thank you for any advice

Your fasting readings are great so well done on that.

Under 8.5 is recommended some of us try for much smaller spikes (most of the time) by reducing the carbs that spike us. My fasting readings are not often as low as yours but I am often back down to where I was after 2 hours. I would suggest you look at what food you have been eating, particularly the carbs in that meal and see if reducing them might help. Your reading do fall into the acceptable range for type 2.
