been doing very well with diet etc until recently. Had a blood and urine test a week ago and now the doc wants to see me about protein in my urine sample. I am going to see her tomorrow morning to discuss things. Havnt had any symptoms other than have been feeling really tired of late. Have i got real kidney problems coming? Bit concerned at the moment.
It could hopefully be something benign as I believe certain treatable UTI infections can manifest themselves as testing positive for protein in the urine although of course it can mean there may be some damage to the kidneys nephron filters...have they given you an eGFR level as part of your kidney function tests?
Hi Paul,
i dont know if they have, ile ask tomorrow but i did ask them to do a pretty thorough test on everything. Been feeling slightly out of sorts of late, nothing serious, just pretty tired. Ile ask Doc tomorrow as ive not seen the results as yet.
Yes it's often a UTI , low white blood cells show infection.
( hope I am right with that ) please check...
Let us know how you get on....
Best wishes k
Thanks guys, ile let you know how things go, fingers crossed its an infection but knowing my luck these days it wont be!!
Mum passed away in August, at least she didnt have to go into a home which was her greatest fear.
Went to see the Doc this morning, she wasnt worries, told me it was only a trace at 4.600 mg/mmol. however, my blood pressure was slightly high so am now on the smallest dose of rampiril.
HbA1c stayed the same at 47, a figure its been at for the last 18 months so no better but no worse.
