Hi there,

With all the talk of the coronavirus going around, I think we all need to be prepared and clear of the sick day rules. If we can help ourselves here, we'll all have a much better chance of recovery. So I've cracked open my Dafne book and have a quick question. Can anyone help me please?

I'm OK up until the point where you test positive for ketones. In my book it says to inject a dose of insulin based on 10% or 20% of 'TDD' (Total Daily Dose) of insulin.

I belive the TDD is calculated by working out all the insulin you have in a normal day. - both rapid acting and slow acting. But can I check this is the case?

It seems weird to me that if I have loads of insulin each day because I eat more, that would have a bearing on how much I would inject to bring my sugar back into line.

Thanks in advance. Jason.
