Type 1 new member - Can anyone advise me I have have had several occasions in the last 6 months where I have been sick in the night my nurse suggested today it could be ketoacidosis, but I thought this is due to high sugar levels my reading was 7.3 any advice would be helpful

sorry, I can't help much but from what I have read here it's normally high sugar that goes with ketones and DKA,
If you haven't been given a tub, for safety I'd get a tub of urine keto sticks and check when you feel unwell

It's not caused by high sugar levels but it is usually associated with them. I agree with Jack that it's just as well to check ketones. However most likely it is nothing to do with diabetes. We do get non-diabetes-related illnesses too, just like everyone else!
