On Wednesday I had a 24 hr sickness bug - I was actually only sick once but felt nauseous. On Saturday I woke at 5am with a hypo which is a very unusual time for me to be low, if I'm going to get a hypo it's between 1 and 3am. Since then I have been in a virtually hypo. No matter what I have eaten and how little insulin I have taken my levels are almost constantly low. Last night I took 2 units less of levimir to see if that is the problem but in the morning my level was 15.5! I then had a bowl of porridge, 40g so took 4 units (my ratio is 1 unit to 10g) and just 1 correction unit instead of 4 but by mid morning I was hypo again. It's like my body isn't absorbing the sugar/food. Help!! Any advice??

Also, when I am treating the hypo with glucogel, lucozade, biscuits, whatever it is struggling to rise!!

I think you must be right, you are not absorbing food properly. Have you seen the doctor? If not , get an appointment ASAP
One possible idea which MIGHT help is; try eating some live yogurt. No Guarantees, but it's not likely to hurt you
