Silent meters?

My Accu-Chek Performa does not make any sound.

Most meters offer the ability to turn off sounds but this is usually done in the Settings part of the meter - often in the section where you set the date & time. If you still have the handbook have a read. If you don't have the handbook then Google 'BG Star meter manual' or similar. Most manufacturers have the manuals on line these days. Failing that, you can always ring the manufacturer and they can a new manual out.

Besides clocks go forward at the end of the month do we will all have to change the times then anyway, so useful to know how to do that.

I used an iBG Star for a while, but moved away from it when I found another meter used cheaper strips, which matters when one is self-funding.

I can't recall specifically if the iBG Star can run totally silently, but as I always do run in silent mode, I'd be surprised if there wasn't an option. I have no wish to fairfare to all and sundry if I'm testing.

You could try emailing Sanofi support and see what they say? When I reported the on-board battery of my iBG Star had failed, they sent me a MyStar Extra, which is a bigger meter, but it does more, including all the usual HbA1c predictions and so on.

The GlucoRx Nexus I have doesn't make any noise, though the test strips aren't cheap. Accuchek mobile does beep and whir.

Regarding the clocks changing, you would have thought modern appliances, knowing what the date is, would sort it out themselves! I know of a number of things that do, and I'm not talking about radio controlled (MSF) or internet connected clocks either.
