Just heard on the BBC News that the broadcasting legend Jimmy Young has sadly passed away.

Many of us will remember Jimmy for his lunch-time show on Radio 2 @mist , Jeremy Vine took over from him and continues to host the show.
 
I don't listen to the radio so that's probably why I've never heard of him.

Remember as a child lying in bed listening to Radio Luxembourg on a small transistor radio, the reception was often poor and you were forever re-tuning the radio, one memory of listening to Radio Luxembourg was hearing the news that Elvis Presley had died.
