Siting of a pump

If you use a diabetes pump to regulate type 1 diabetes, do you need to move the siting of the pump every few days? My son is debating going on to a pump and he has his review tomorrow, but we would like to have the correct information when we go in, and cant find anything definitive on this

I change the infusion set (cannula + tubing) every 3 or so days, and only ever use my abdomen so tend to alternate between left and right sides, which seems enough recovery time. Been doing this for 5 years now, plus add in the 20 previous years I also used exactly the same area for pen injections (4 times a day)!
