My surgery have asked me if I would agree to changing from an 8mm needle to a 6mm one for my daily Victoza injection.. They say it's cheaper! But they also say it can be more effective because the shorter needle means there is less chance of hitting muscle. The prescribing team lady told me this. Surely a doctor or nurse should give me their opinion? Does MONEY have to dictate everything?
I use the 8mm needles for my victoza and I have never been asked or issued with the 6mm needles.
I would call and speak to the dn nurse or doctor before agreeing with the change
