Hi I was diagnosed on Christmas Eve, I had GD with my last two children, the youngest being 6, tbh it was no big surprise. I had been feeling ill for a while, the tiredness has been bad, I have also been coming over funny.
My bloods came back as 49, so they say I don't need meds, when I check my bloods they range around 8 -10ish. I am on a very controlled diet due to a stomach problem.
The biggest problem I have is with my skin, the cuts don't heal at all, I currently look like I self harm, my legs are covered in small cuts, it also hurts like hell, I also have lots of lumps and bumps under my underarms. Is this normal. Any advice would be fantastic x

I am not sure about lumps and bumps but I have noticed that my skin is not as clear as it used to be pre diabetes and also it takes much longer to heal x

Sugar crystals in tiny blood vessels may be the problem, reduce your carbs may help.

For me, I've noticed that my skin has "aged" overnight. Aging is usually gradual, but, my skin began showing a sudden change at the same time as my other DB complications started showing. For me, its a real dryness and roughness on my hands. My feet are more chapped and dry and cracked than usual, even extreme for the very cold, dry region I live in. I have noticed some small raised areas on my face, too, like little blemishes.

Good luck, Mel !
