is this the one you have? http://www.jmldirect.com/kitchen/co...cooker-with-bonus-recipe-book/#horizontalTab2
if so, the timer may be for other functions. Slow cooking is done on a very low heat to soften the meat, so needs 6-8 hours. I use mine overnight.
Sounds the same as mine, I have red one.
My breville multi cooker does deep frying in addition to all that. Fantastic and well used. Essential in the minute kitchen of our first home but it took the whole work surface, is cast iron and so extremely heavy when empty. Hubby hates it because there is no way i can move it if there is anything in it, it spatters fat and - not that I will admit to anything and I have to state he is a qualified electrician the cable has had the occassional mishap.
We got a cat biscuit feeder from Andrew James. At the time three cats and we were planning a few weekends away with no guarantee of furbabe carer availability. Maybe it was because we got the biggest available but getting the operating thingibies is so complicated even the little uns cannot do it. It has to be reset everytime it sticks and it sticks a lot; tormenting the kitties with views of a full container of food they and I cannot access and only the bickies in the tray going soft in the air. I do not recommend. Happily they like going away with us although finding caravan sites is a total nightmare.
Yep, that is the one we have. Hubby threw away instructions cause (no offence to anyone, he is a man and doesnt need instructions! Even though I bloody well do lol)
I have no idea how to work the thing.
Ahh yes. They are really good. We only have kitties but the ones that were akin to burmese or maine coon sussed it out and could tell when it was about to produce food by a change in tone. It gave them enough time to hog the feeder. One tabby used to lie around the feeder waiting only to be pushed out by the Burmese at the vital time. One heavyweight, shaggy character has pounced and prodded it with no success other than to break one of the pegs on the flaps. We only have one tabby at the moment and he was one of those adorable cuties. Now he is 15 I think his range is limited to long standing homes and he has no patience with such things as machines. If his standard cute does not pay off NOW! he just toddles round to the next set of staff.Aw, poor kitties. We got a thing to feed ours when we go away overnight, he sits and waits for it to turn to the food then jumps out his skin when it changes haha

now you have a link to the instruction manual you've saved your self the cost of a new one, so go and by a nice (cheap) cut of meat and slow cook it for 8hrs................that should give me ample time to get there...........
If I jump in a plane I can be there in 8 hours.
I love my slow cookers I have two. A large one and a small one. The small one has low and high settings. The large one has 4,6,8 and 12 hour settings.
I use one at least every week.
I got one from Morrisons a few weeks ago , just big enough for 2 and only cost £12.Its only to do stews etc to start with for hubby (I dont eat steak, etc) so size isnt a problem.
There are so many out there I dont even know where to start looking haha.
Its amazing that some times this happens .. I am like that with Argos & Tesco !!Every thing I have bought from Andrew James has been a total disaster that includes a bread maker and a coffee maker.
I have bought a morphy richards multi cooker one of the best things I have done can slow cook fry, roast, and steam and a lot more besides that.
I'm jumping on a plane. I'll be in 12 hours or so.We got our slow cooker from Woolworth's here in Australia for around $50.00.
The settings are simple Auto, Low and High and there is no timer.
Here's a pix of a chicken curry we were cooking in it.
I took that pix a couple of months ago, it did smell good though when it was cooked.Yummy, I bet your house smells delicious.
