SMILE trial

Not sure yet. Due to the Internet thing that's gone on she can't email the info to me until she gets the OK from hospital. Basically it's a bit like the libre but has more to it. Sorry I can't be more informative about it yet.

Hi @Lorraine1973 - it's now my backup device. I now use a full Hybrid Closed Loop solution, which is an evolution of what this does. Had I not built that, yes, I would still use the 640G, happily.

Hi @Lorraine1973 - I think you'll find a tubed pump a lot less hassle than most people imagine. Whilst I can see the attraction of a pod, I've not had any issues with tubes, which I've been using for 18+ months. In terms of getting the tube caught, that's something that hardly ever happens, and I've had more issues with the cat chewing the tube than catching it on things.

Okay - Lorraine it is I just put the pump on the bed next to me, and it follows me around. No issues with sleeping with it.

Sorry about all the questions, just trying to prepare myself. Do you not get tangled in it and has it disconnected at anytime x

I use the 640G and Enlite sensor too.
At night I clip the pump to my nightie and there's no problem with the tubing. During the day I clip it to my bra, between boobs and all's well.

I have never pulled out the cannula, due to catching the tubing, but there have been a couple of "oops" moments when I accidentally caught it with my arm. A couple of times in 7 years isn't bad, and I still didn't spoil the cannula or become disconnected.

You get used to it very quickly and I wouldn't be without it!

How do you get onto the trial of either bit of kit?
