I was diagnosed in February after I had insisted on all the tests including OGTT that came back conclusive at 13.8.

I had been soo very tired for a long time but tell me a GP who takes women of a certain age seriously when they complain of tiredness and I will list me there!

Anyhow, now that I have been on strict LCHF for three months things have changed. I haven't had this level of energy for a quarter of a century. I can work very hard physically for hours. I have gone to the mainland and back several times in the last months as we sold a house that has been in the family for over a hundred years so there was a lot of stuff to be got through too, no problem with driving trough the night and getting off the ferry in the early hours of the morning to go the remaining 70 km home, not to mention being able to get up in the morning to work, work work and get things sorted. I work 50-60 per week now and love it!

I function as a normal, active person who is completely well. This I have managed through LCHF. My morning reading is 4.2, postprandial 4.2, HbA1c 35 but I will improve there I am sure.

I have lost some weight but mostly I have gained muscle and lost fat. I have gone down one size in three months while I lost three kilo in weight. As I was of normal weight at diagnosis with some room for improvement this is fine. I can loose half a stone and that will be fine too.

Brilliant! your doing great and giving great help to others, keep it up

Wow Totto, that is fantastic! I didn't realise all this was so new to you, you have achieved so much in such a short time. Well done.

Thank you Zand. I was prepared as most of my family are diabetic. I have been sort of low carbing for years so it wasn't so hard do it strict. And LCHF rocks, as you know. And I grew up with a diabetic father so had a clue to how to this.

Still I am satisfied with results so far. It will improve further, I hope.
