Hey Everyone:
In May, I was diagnosed T2 with fasting BS of 7.0 and A1C of 9.0. !!
I immediately went LCHF and began monitoring several times a day ,,,, always btwn 4.9-6.2 before and after meals.
Just yesterday, I broke my diet by drinking a can of Pepsi (42g carbohydrate/41g sugars) ,,,, before drinking it I tested and my BG was 5.5 ,,,,after one hour 6.8,,,, after 2 hours 5.8 !! I had prepared myself for terrible numbers, like the ones I use to get when first diagnosed (12.5-15.0 after 2 hrs)
Again, I'm on no medication ,,,,,I'm wondering if my result is a fluke or how to explain it ,,,, I should also add that on June 10th, I quit my 1 pack a day smoking habit of 30 years,,,,I've read that quitting smoking helps with insulin resistance as well ,,,,, any ideas?
