Hi all,
Could someone please give me a bit of advice please. On returning home from work I felt a little bit "shaky" so I checked my levels which were 4.9, I had a couple of digestive biscuits and felt a bit better. A couple of hours after my evening meal I again felt the same and tested as I would normally have done 2 hours after my meal. The reading this time was 4.3!!, I then decided to test again about 1/2 an hour later, reading 4.0!! I then had a sugary drink and waited a further 1/2 hour and tested again,6.6. Is this normal? I am still getting to grips with my Diabetes and I've not had this happen before, my levels have been pretty good, fasting around 5 and after meals around 8-9.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Have you lost weight,Chris ? It could be that your own natural insulin may be working more effectively causing you to go low. However, I am not an insulin user so I am hoping someone will come along who knows more about it.

Thanks Sue. No I have'nt lost any weight, I should add that I took my meds 2g Met and 26 units of Insulin just after my meal as I would normally do.

This is really something you need to ask your doctor about, especially if it starts happening more frequently.

Thanks for the advice Sue. As I said this is the first time that this has happened so could it just be some sort of glitch? I have also been feeling a little more tired than usual but just put this down to work.
