Hi sugar pie
You be fine...
Its scary as yes it's a new way of looking at our diabetes with a learning curve invovled, but hey it's not quite as bad as when we were handed our first syringe, where not only did we have learn about insulin and injection, but come to terms with diabetes being part of our life as well... We just getting our heads around a new concept of insulin delivery...
Your nurses will ask you for your insulin TDD of the previous couple of days and you BG readings... They will do some number crunching so that a basic basal can be programed to work from..
As to your bolus, they will probably suggest that to start with using the standard bolus until you comfortable to try the others out... Don't expect everything to drop in place from day one, as there will be a lot of BG testing to get you basal set.. But it will all full into place, and once you settled then you will discover what bolus etc suits what situation...
A good book to get is Pumping Insulin by John Walsh, it's know as the bible amoungst pumpers, and there is always us here who can answer a question or two...
Good luck, as I already said you be fine..
