Sore eyes still 10 days after retinopathy exam

I had my annual retinopathy test on 17th Aug and have had sore, slightly itchy eyes since. The first few days after I had a headache and dull pain behind my eyes but I put this down to the weather which was very heavy and my husband also complained of a similar thing. Then they became sore and a bit itchy which seemed to get better after a few days but then came back. Is this normal? I had one last year and don't remember any side effects. Thay gave me the numbers of who to contact if I had any problems but of course since then I have lost it. It's not severe in any way just rather irratable so don't know if this is due to something else. Has anyone had a similar thing after a retinopathy test?
