Sore Feet - Neuropathy?

I am a T1D of 40 years and have always like outdoor stuff, including walking. I recent years I have found that over moderate distances ~15k my feet get very sore. I do have some mild neuropathy, but no real pains. Is the soreness related to the neuropathy or do I just need to bathe my feet in urine!

For the record my recent HbA1c was 7.0 but it has been much higher than that over the years.
