Has anybody tried Spicy Popadum? You can get them in any supermarket. Usually 6 to a pack. I looked at the Carb for one Popadum and it was 3.8 carbs and something like 0.1 sugar.. I put some lovely cheddar cheese on...It was really tasty and went well with the spices in the Popadum. I also had cucumber and 3 cherry tomatoes on the side. After I had some berries with sugar free jelly. I had this for lunch and was really filling. It made a nice change from a salad or eggs.

Oh my goodness just thought..Popadums can be warmed in the microwave...Grated cheese on top melted Mmmmm

The ones that you buy in the shop are only 3.8 carbs,so would of thought that was quite low if you stick to the one

they are wrecked by a microwave, can only be warmed in an oven
No I have warmed them in the microwave for half a minute quite a few times in the past, they come out quite well. In fact if you put ones in that have gone a little stale the microwave crisps them up again, same as with prawn crackers...The Popadums I am talking about are the shop bought ones

Yes they are very nice, however they are a bit salty and tend to leave you dry afterwards if you eat too many.

Carb wise some of the supermarket own brands are the lowest, sure one of the well known brands (possibly Patak's) are around 6g of carbs per Poppadom.

Yes, the supermarket own brand is lower in carbs. It does not have to be cheese. Maybe a home made mint yogurt spread onto the poppadum with some cooked cold tandoori sliced chicken breast. They sell this in the chiller aisle of most supermarkets.

Sounds good, will have to make some mint yogurt, thanks for the suggestion

One or two of those would be fine for me carb wise , it's the curry I'd have to have with them that could be a problem.
