hi, my son is signed to a proffesional club in the UK ( goal keeper for u8s); he has a rigid training regeime lasting 4.5 hrs on a saturday and 2 hrs session durring the week. He's been T1D for 18 months and uses novarapid 3 times a day and lantus at night. I am not having a major issue so far but i am considering a pump. two questions really;
1/ has anyone similar experience and was there any issues with going to a pump?
2/ are there any other professional footbal players that are T1D that i can use as an example( i know Gary Mabutt and there is a guy a U18s in celtic)?
i want him to feel that his ambitions to play proffessional will not be hindrered by T1D.
thanks for any response.
