Well saw the specialist diabetes nurse few days ago after my GP referred me to see her !
Initially referred as my BM's are not coming down sufficiently enough as a type 2 !
So I am told to continue with Metaformin and Glicazide but start this weekly Trulicity injection.

Anyone been on all 3 of these meds for your BM's ?

Many years ago, was on Chloropropamide and Metformin. Didn't like former as was aware of risks it posed to heart. Hated latter as it affected my mood severely and made me very, very angry (almost Hulk like). Went back to hospital and demanded to get away from Metformin. Was offered the alternative, Insulin injections. Despite my intense hatred of needles, I chose that option as I felt that Metformin would have turned me into Hannibal Lecter!!
Been on Insulin since 1989, have made many a change along the way but am loving life right now!

I am on Trulicity at 0.75 for last three weeks. I am using it with 27 units of Insulin per day. Doesn't seem to have any effect on my bs but then again neither did Victosa .I'm around 5 in morning but always end up around 16 by ten at night .no real side effects other than odd loose bowels, abdomen is a bit three and mild headache occasionally.Suspect to hey will up the dose .To me it was prescribed for weight but not overweight .was concerned at the reviews from the states

I have been on 2000 metformin, 40 glicazide and have just been on trulicity for 4 weeks now and have had no problems at all. I am starting on 1.5 trulicity next week and hope this double amount doesn’t affect me either. I will have to see.

I have now come off trulicity after seven months, didn't do much to be honest. Now gone on insuman 25 - long and slow acting insulin twice daily on A total of 40 units - slightly better by readings so far so will adjust every four days upwards
