K Krishen Member Messages 11 Jan 6, 2011 #1 Dear Friends I am Type 2 diabetic aged 79 taking MetforminMR 500mgx2 in the morning and one at dinner time. I am getting the same reading for fasting glucose test since two weeks at 6.0. Is that OK or some thing is wrong? Please help. Thanks.

Do you have the control liquid to calibrate your meter? You could also test someone else (make sure you change the needle!) and see if you get the same result. Might be time to invst in a new meter - most companies will send you a free one if you ask nicely.
