Static blood glucose levels

Dear Friends
I am Type 2 diabetic aged 79 taking MetforminMR 500mgx2 in the morning and one at dinner time.
I am getting the same reading for fasting glucose test since two weeks at 6.0. Is that OK or some thing is wrong? Please help. Thanks.

Sounds good to me - but I'd be a little concerned that your meter might be playing up. Do you have the control liquid to calibrate your meter?

You could also test someone else (make sure you change the needle!) and see if you get the same result.

Might be time to invst in a new meter - most companies will send you a free one if you ask nicely.

Instead of testing someone else, you can also test other liquids to see if you get a reading other than 6.0.

Lloyds Chemist and others will do a Blood Glucose test for you free of charge.

Just do one of your own at the same time and compare,+ or - 10% seems to be the norm.

6 mmol is OK, lots of people would be more than happy with that, me included!
