Good for you @SnapsyHi folks, thought I'd share this with you!
Started my new Libre sensor this morning, after my shower. First reading on it was 6.1. Every single subsequent reading this morning - from 8.49am until 10.34am (7 readings in total, although some are very close together as you will see by the pic) has also been 6.1.
I was very dubious that this could actually really be precisely 6.1 for going on for two hours, and suspected a faulty sensor.
So I did a blood glucose test just now, followed by 20 star jumps, after which I scanned my sensor again.
Turns out my actual BG is 6.0, and my post-star-jump Libre reading is 6.2.
Phew! Not broken after all! Turns out I'm just having a 'good' day!
PS In the time I've taken to type this post, my reading has changed again..... BACK TO 6.1!

Awww, I wish!!!! It would be fab if my body had the ability to make changes for itself in this regard, @Bluetit1802 - the very fact that it relies on my giving it the right amount of insulin at the right rate at the right time to deal with everything I throw at it is precisely why I had assumed the static number to be a mistake! It sounds like that is where your body likes you to be.
@tizzy. Exactly what I was doing but I had another meter and got a second one to be sure. Emailed Abbott and they have put a replacement sensor in the post - you can't fault their customer service.Hi I had a wonderful holiday with a faulty reader I only used the libre as I wasn't driving so no finger pricks it showed I was going low all the time I ate crisps chocolate ,puddings I did feel queer but assumed hypo till it got a bit silly and when I checked it was at least 10 MLS out so not 4 or 5 going low but 14 15 on its way up been called in as hb1ac is 61 I enjoyed it at the time though
