Stem cell implants

Where is stem cell implantation available? I've read that stem cells derived from a persons own bone marrow have been injected and have repaired the mons islets in the pancreas that produce insulin. This done then how does one overcome cell resistance?
How long does this last? What is the cost? Has anyone had tis procedure?
Florida? Delhi?
