Well got my levels down to 59 been to Docs and now she thinks i have Polymyalgia so have to try steroids for four weeks to see if will take inflammation levels down, is anyone else taking steroids and do t hey affect your levels

It is my understanding being on steroids will very likely raise your blood glucose levels. Steroids like prednisone, dexamethasone , and hydrocortisone pills will cause a rise. My suggestion would be to test before and after meals to keep an eye on your levels. Hopefully your Dr would have alerted you to a possible blood sugar rise.

Yes she did she said maybe need to inject more insulin sighs, but my feet swelling now and ankle hurts like mad so putting them up as best I can taking paracetamol and rubbing gel in to try ease the pain, very hard to walk so will try steroids when they arrive.
