Hi Doug,
Thanks for that information, it's very helpful. I was recently diagnosied with reactive hypoglycemia and the consultant who diagnosed this advised it was probably due to my reflux acid issues, which I have had for 12 years. He kind of indicated that in essence the high acid levels stop the body absorbing the sugars etc as it should do, which was all to do with this Vagus Nerve. At the time I was also reported with an extremly high HGH level.
Yesterday I went to see a GI consultant to see if we can finaly get the acid issues dealt with and they told me there would be no connection! So am getting a little lost on it all.
It's all very strange, I am suffering all the symptoms of high and low BG levels, but my BG level is fine. I am seeing a dietician in 3 weeks, but have decided in the meantime to just eat as I normaly would and keep a diary to try and see a pattern.
So far I am eating what I want when I want and BG is fine, averaging 6!
Could be back to the drawing board on this one I think!
Simon
