fatty food,
Glimepiride 4mg metformin mr 2000mg dapagliflozin 50mg Hbalc 53 Age 70 diagnosed 1998

My morning readings are usually 8. something. I have had side effects on the digestive system along with fatigue which appears to be a side effect of metformin and dapagliflozin.
After a frightening episode with the gall bladder 3 weeks ago, last week I decided to see what happens if I stop the metorfmin and dapagliflozin. I have not had the meds for a week now. The digestive problems are still here (mainly due ow to gallbladder bein inflamed) however my bg readings dropped, my fatigue disappeared. My early morning reading now 6. something and after a meal not rising above 10 3 hours later.

Could these two drugs be maintaining the diabetes?

I seriously think you should have discussed this with your GP or DN beforehand. Please, please test more than you usually would and make an appointment at your surgery as soon as you can.

I will but as I feel less fatigued I will continue until the appointment. I should add I am still taking the glimepiride.

Thanks for the advice which I will follow.
