strange hba1c

hi,

i recently had a routine blood test and the nurse said this morning that my hba1c was 55, last time it was checked, about a year ago, it was 6.3, is it possible to have a reading this high or has someone misread/mistyped and it should be 5,.5?

It's a new system they're using, used to be percentage, so 6.3%. I can't remember what 55 is when converted to percent but someone will be along soon to help out!
