Just a observation. I have been stressed out over the last 2 days with work issues.

Today my bg levels have been high. 8.9 before breakfast and have not come down below 7.9 all day. Just tested 4 hours after lunch and its 8.9.

Could the stress be causing the elevated reading?

I also take warfarin. My INR levels at yesterdays blood test was 1.5 so I have to increase the daily dose. Again I think stress maybe the reason.

Roll on the weekend

Stress can certainly cause a increase in bg in both type 1's and 2's.

Thanks for the reply. Chilling nicely now.

Hope the bg does likewise!

Stress is certainly a problem in my T2 control working in IT in my mid 50's. Chilled out nicely and got good sleep when off work for 6/7 weeks back last summer. Now back in regular job and oh dear I'm off to see the Doc on Friday for the first time in a while. I do x2 Met 850 and x2 Glic a day but, readings are regularly in double figures in recent months I know the fix, more exercise, sensible food and less stress. Easy said but, modern life does not help ... grump and harumph
