I am a senior teacher and I have been put under considerable pressure by the Headteacher which is leasing to ongoing stress issues and as a result my BG is constantly high. Has anyone any suggestions. I am reaching a point where I cannot take much more. Thanks for listening,
Hi, so sorry that you are having a terrible time. You should see your GP about the stress, if you live in Scotland there is a lot of mental health self help/self referral information on NHS inform website. I would speak to your diabetic team ASAP about increasing your insulin during this stressful time x
@Bobbyr14 , when my levels run high due to stress, I increase my insulin dose. If it is a constant stress, I increase my basal dose. If it is throughout the day, I correct with a bolus.
This is easier with a pump but I used to do similar with insulin pens.
