I read online that sugar levels rise in cold weather. It's certainly the opposite for me. My sugars plummet when walking in cold weather. Cheers Kevin...

Great to hear that antje. It's all over Google the other way round..
Also maybe you may know about pancreas producing some insulin again cos that's what I was told on last visit to clinic. I inject premixed insulin twice daily..

From your profile you are a T2, I'm T1, so things would work different.
Hi.im not type 1 cos I only inject twice daily whereas type 1s need to inject every time they eat. So my form of diabetes is rare I think. Wouldn't think there are too many diabetics like myself. I'm just wondering how would I find out how much insulin is actually being produced by my pancreas. And does it increase or is it the same amount all the time.. cheers Kevin..

T1's have been treated by twice a day mixed insulins for years before the current basal/bolus mix was introduced, and it is used in T2's as well. Your insulin doesn't tell you what type you are.

A c-peptide test would tell you something about the amount of insulin you produce yourself.
