Had a letter from my doctors today saying they were taking me off Metformin, and putting me on something called Sukkarta instead, because it was more "cost effective".

Naturally, being put on a cheaper medication worries me, yet I can't find anything online about this new medication.

Has anyone here heard of Sukkarta? Or are you on it?

Any advice much appreciated.
 
Odd! Difficult to believe that they are giving you a drug with no published data and not even listed on the NHS website, unless there's a major typo in the name?
 
Yep, I made an error! It's Sukkarto, not Sukkarta!
