Hi all am trying to find more information on this it's my wife who has type 1 insulin pump etc with other health problems it's getting her down every time she eats it doesn't matter what it is she starts to sweat its at a point now we can't go out for a bite to eat as she is worried about her sweating in public is there anyone in the same situation that have tried treatments or anything that I feel could give her a little help.
Thanks David
it is called "Gustatory Sweating" , it is a kind of nerve damage where spit-signaling is also activating sweating ind the face and forehead , sometimes the whole head and neck as well, it is a damage from diabetes/ high blood glucose and many diabtics has this problem
other kinds of nerve damage can be blocking of sweat so that one is not able to sweat at all some places on ones skin... unfortunately we do not ourselves choose which kinds of damage we get...from diabetes and how soon or late..
